Lemuel Haskel Pitts (son of James B. Pitts and Eliza Thomas) was born 1902 in Cannon Co. Tennessee (Woodbury), and died 1929 in Trenton Texas. He married Ruby Key on September 18, 1921.
Notes for Lemuel Haskel Pitts: Lem as he was commonly called, was born in Woodbury TN., the son of James and Eliza (Thomas) Pitts. When he was 16 years old he went to Texas. He never returned to Tennessee. He met and married Ruby Key on September 18, 1921. They had three sons, John, Lloyd and Charles. Lem worked on farms and ranches during the short time he lived. He took ill with pneumonia in 1929 and passed away at the age of twenty seven. He is buried in the Burns Cemetery in Trnton, Texas. His wife Ruby died in 1999 and is buried next to Lem.
