Lillie Elkins (b. January 27, 1878, d. February 22, 1949)
Lillie Elkins (daughter of Silas Walker Elkins and Sarah Fine Thomas) was born January 27, 1878 in Woodbury TN. (Cannon Co.), and died February 22, 1949 in Herrin IL.. She married William Carroll West on January 05, 1896 in Cannon Co. Tennesee.

Lillie West, daughter of Silas and Sarah Elkins, was born January 27, 1878, in Woodbury TN., and departed this life at the Herrin Hospital in Herrin, IL., at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 17 days. She was united in marriage to William C. West, January 5, 1896 and to this Union one son was born. Mrs. West move from Tennessee in the year of 1900. She professed faith in Christ in 1911 and was united with the Lutheran Church at Lick Creek. She was in bad health for the last three years and was bed-fast for seven months. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, William and one son, Custer, at home. Also two brothers, W.E. Elkins of Cambria, IL., Jady (James Thomas) Elkins of Anna, and three sisters, Minnie Pitts of Jonesboro, Betty Merriman, Woodbury TN., Flora Brimer, Oklahoma City OK. and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the Norris and son Funeral Home at 2:30, Thursday, February 24, 1949 by the Rev. Lewis F. Rodenbeck, pastor of the Lutheran Church of Jonesboro with burial in the Anna Cemetery.
