Mr. Truman Pitts, 76, of Anna died Tuesday morning February 4, 1986 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in cape Girardeau. He was born August 15, 1909, in Anna, the son of Luster and Flora Lott Pitts. He was married August 15, 1931, to Zora Ross. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Zora Pitts of Anna; two sons, Dale Pitts of Washinton, Illinois, and Paul Pitts of Scottsdale Arizona; four grandchildren, Debbie Peters of Dallas Texas, Michael Pitts of Washington, Illinois, Pamela Pitts and Brian Pitts, both of Scottsdale Arizona, three sisters, Mrs. Hassie Dettenbach of Elgin, Mrs. Mary Hoyle of Anna, and Mrs. Ruth Forbes of Bristol; other relatives and friends. He attended the Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. Mr. Pitts was the retired owner and operator of Pitts Grocery in Anna. He was also retired from the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School. Funeral services for Truman Pitts will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Anna Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Garnett Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. today. Crain funeral Home of Anna is in charge of arrangements.
