Jerry Lee Fear, son of Luther Fear and Helen Fear, was born in Anna Illinois on September 4, 1942, and passed away at the St. Frances Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. on August 3, 1968. After Graduating from the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School he enisted in the Buddy Plan in the United States Marine Corps, being discharged on June 16, 1964. He attended Southern Illinois University and on August 7, 1965 was united in marriage to Miss Karen Kamphas in Chicago, and to this union one son was born. He was a member of the Christian Church in Anna and a member of the VFW. Carol P. Foster Post 3455. He was assistant manager for the Public Finance Corporation in carbondale. He is survived by his wife, Karen of Anna, one son, Jerry Lee, of Anna, his Father and Mother, Luther and Helen (Pitts) Fear of Jonesboro, three brothers, Luther Jr., Ronald, and Steve of Jonesboro. One sister, Mrs. Joan Reed of Elgin, paternl Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Fear of Anna, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, August 5, in the chapel of Norris and Son Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM., with Harold Miles offficiating. Interment was in the Anna Cemetery. Norris and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
