Bessie Brimm (daughter of Oziah Denton (Jr.) Brimm and Laura Shepard) was born January 26, 1905 in Union Co. Il. (Anna), and died April 12, 1977 in Union Co. Il. (Anna). She married Henry Boyer on July 28, 1923 in Union Co. Il. (Jonesboro).

Bessie Boyer, daughter of Oziah and Laura Shepard Brimm, was born in Union County, January 26, 1905 and passed away Tuesday, April 12, 1977 at the Union County Hospital in Anna at the age of 72 years. Mrs. Boyer was united in marriage to Henry Boyer in Jonesboro on July 28, 1923, and to this Union two daughters were born. Mr. Boyer preceded her in death on November 30, 1974. Mrs. Boyer has lived in and around Union County all of her life and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Anna. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Evelyn Boyer of Anna, and Mrs. Laura Jane Bloodworth of Mayfield, Kentucky. Also, three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Roy Brimm of Jonesboro: one sister, Helen Stoner of Anna; four half brothers, Willie L. Brimm of Princeton, Frank Brimm of Anna, Carl Brimm of Anna, and Colin Brimm of Jonesboro; two half sisters, Lucille Baldwin of Belleville, and Myrtle Forest of Memphis Tennessee. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 14, 1977, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Norris and son Funeral Home with Rev. Charles E. Carr officiating. Interment was in the Casper Cemetery. Norris and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
