I have been working on our family tree for about one year.
My side goes back to the 1600's on my dads side however, I am
hung up on my moms side. I know my Great Grandfather was born on a ship between here and Ireland in 1850 and arrived in NY. His fathers name is Nathaniel and I don't know his mothers name. I am stuck. My Great Gma was born in Elmira,NY in 1860. My other relatives come from the UP of Michigan. Jim's family we are stuck too! We know his Great Gpa was born in Bohemia but that's it. We can't even find where he is buried. His other relatives came over from Prussia & Germany.
I hope to get more information from the local library.
