Tennessee ancesters: Smith County; Lancaster, Bradley, Hall,DAVIS These families settled in early Tn. about 1780-1810.The towns were: Lancaster, Brush Creek, Buffalo Valley, Hickman,and Alexandria. I am particularly interested in information about the Davis line. Three Davis brothers married 3 Bradley sisters prior to the Civil War. Judia Bradley married Benjamin Davis {who moved to Calera Ok.}, after Civil War, Susan Frances Bradley married Brown R. Davis, and Mary (Poppy)Bradley married John Davis (these two moved to Denton County, Texas after the Civil War. Other members-I think from this family moved to Davis Okla. My father was Fred Brown Davis-son of William Brown Davis -son of Brown R.Davis and Susan Frances Bradley,who both died during the Civil War.I'm looking for the Davis ancestry. My father was born in or near Brush Creek, Tn, and moved to Okla in 1901.
