The Daily News - Obituary March 05 1910 Mrs. Benjamin Pocock. Death Occurred This Morning a Mile East of Bergen Village. Bergen March 5. - Mrs. Anna Pocock wife of Benjamin Pocock of Riga died this morning at 5:45 o'clock at her home a mile east of this village aged 57 years. She had been an invalid 18 years the last two years suffering from cancer. Mrs. Pocock was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Harding of Riga. She was born in England and was brought to this country by her parents when she was a small child. On January 1 1873 she was married and began housekeeping in Riga. She had resided in the home in which died 15 years. She was a member of the Baptist church of Clifton and no one doubted the sincerity of her Christian life which was shown in her beautiful character. Mrs. Pocock was the oldest of six daughters three of whom Mrs. James Peachey of Bergen Mrs. Amanda Combs of Chili and Mrs. Henry Sands of Clifton are living. Those dead are Mrs. Bert Stottle of Riga and Mrs. Thomas Green of Flint Mich. Besides her husband Mrs. Pocock is survived five daughters Mrs. John Mills of Riga Mrs. Frederick Kern of Bennington Mrs. R. A. Johnson of Bainbridge Mrs. Orla Fanson of Bergen and Miss Lilian Pocock of Riga and three sons Thomas Earl and William of Riga. The funeral will be held from her late residence on Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock the Rev. Emmett M. Kelley officiating. The burial will take place in the Riga cemetery.

The Daily News September 09 1930 Willard B. Munger Bergen Sept. 9. - Willard B. Munger 71 died at his home on Rochester street yesterday afternoon following an illness of a week. Mr. Munger was born on the Munger farm on the Townline road in Bergen on January 2 1859 and had lived in Bergen practically all his life. Mr. Munger first wife was Ida A. Chapell of Byron whom he married at Byron on November 3 1880. Mrs. Munger died on August 21 1907 Surviving him are his wife Lillian Pocock Munger whom he married at Bergen on September 2 1911; three sons Elbert D. of Detroit Harry of Churchville and J. Everette of Longwood Fla.; a daughter Mrs. Gertrude Borgus of Nunda; also eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a member of Wardville Lodge L. O. O. F. of Bergen. Funeral services will be held at his late home on Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock the rev. John Johnstone of the Bergen Methodist Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Rest cemetery.

  Marriage Notes for LILLIAN POCOCK and WILLARD MUNGER:
The Daily News September 02 1911 MUNGER-POCOCK Bergen Mail Carrier Married at the Bride's Home in Riga. Bergen Sept. 2 - Miss Lillian B. Pocock, daughter of Benjamin Pocock of Riga, was married this afternoon at 1 o'clock to Willard B. Munger of Bergen, the popular carrier on rural route No. 33 at the home of her sister Mrs. Orla F. Fanson of Bergen. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Sanford Brusie pastor of the Methodist church in the presence of about twenty of the members of the two families. The bride's gown was a dark blue silk trimmed with overlaid lace and Persian braid. Her traveling suit was dark serge with hat to match. The wedding dinner was served at 3 o'clock. Ten were seated at the bride's table which was decorated with gold and white. Mr. and Mrs. Munger were driven to Brockport to take a train for a bridal tour of a few days.
