Notes for Sarah Jane Botts: Were Dutch & Pennsysylvania Dutch so may have been German William & Sarah were cousins
According to Willa Helmick Sarah May's mother died when she was four and her father shortly there after. She was then adopted by the Backus family and raised. Since thet appear together in the 1880 census, he must have died shortly there after. tp
PLEASE NOTE-I AM NOT SURE AARON IS HER FATHER-ACCORDING TO MY GREAT AUNT WILLA HER MOTHER WAS A POTTER AND SARAH AND WILLIAM WERE COUSINS-I THINK THE CONNECTION COULD BE THE MORRIS LINE HOWEVER-WHICH COULD MAKE HER RELATED TO JOHN BOTTS AND NANCY MORRIS-OR AARON'S WIFE JANE COULD BE JANE POTTER-STILL SEARCHING TP
