| My maiden name is Briley. Little is known about where my grandfather came from or his parents except that he was born in Texas and his name was Arno Byron Briley. I am reasearching the Sharpes family from W.Virginia. Martin Luther Sharpes was my great, great grandfather and born September 25, 1856 in Taylor County, W.VA. His first marriage was to Hannah Etta Barr on December 30, 1880 in Ritchie Co., W.VA. Any information on their children and descendents would be very helpful. I have recently met a cousin from Martin's first marriage that has been working on this for years, so my resources are improving and I would love to share these links with any family out there. Very little is known about my husband's family the Poladian's from Fitchburg, Massachusetts. His grandmother came oversees from Armenia in the 1920's. Also researching my Howard line. My great-grandfather was James Homer Howard (DOB March 19, 1908 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma). His parents were Charles Scott Howard (1887-1915) and Jessie Poindexter. Charles' father was Andrew N Howard (1855-1920) and his mother was Rachel Brown (1864-1948. I have progressed no further on this line. Any help would be appreciated and I am willing to share all that I have as well. Any email inquiries are welcome. |
