The Polk Family Endeavor
| I'm taking a stab at researching my family background. I have no idea what I'm doing, and this is the first research I have conducted so far. My father's family is POLK, originating somewhere in Poland and ending up in Wayne County, Michigan, where my grandfather operated a meat packing business. My mother's family (on her mother's side) were HENDRICKSONS, originating in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. They are believed to have immigrated from Norway.
