John D. Smith, c1811-1845, lived in Limestone Co., TX., and was buried in a cemetery called originally the "John D. Smith Graveyard." Subsequently, the cemetery came to be called the Alford Cemetery, then the Horton Cemetery. The cemetery has been long lost. John D. Smith was my 3rdgreatgrandfather on my mother's side.
