I am researching my own family's ancestry as well as that of my husband, hence the "Strickland and Pollock" families home page. =)
I have been lucky to have acquired a LOT of old family papers, bibles and other things over the last few years, as well as interviewed the older members of my family.
Currently my research is being focused on my maiden name. My great-grandfather, Allen Strickland (1886-1951), was quite the "loner." He never spoke of his past, including where he came from. We know only his mother's first name. He took the rest of his history to the grave. What little I do know is that he served in WW1 and that he spoke of having come from Canada. I do know he was in Georgia as of 1920 or just before that, because he had my grandfather.
ANYONE with any connections to a Strickland line in Georgia would be GREATLY appreciated, and anything I can do in return along the lines of records lookups or Florida related searches, LET ME KNOW. This is the shortest line in my tree... discontinued, if you will. =)
