| My research goes into the history of the POLINGER family (father's side) and the BROWN family, which is on my mothers side of the family. Names being researched include VOGEL, ROSEN, SHRADER. Simon Polinger, son of Bernard, came to the US in 1906, arriving in New York (Ellis Island). Max Brown (Braun) came to the US in 1892, and settled in Brooklyn. Many of the Brown's lived in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to the Metro-Washington, DC area. Other family members being searched include: ...The ROSEN's, who married into the Polinger family through Kate Rosen, wife of Simon; The BROWN's, who joined Polinger's through marriage of Helen Brown to Oscar Polinger; The VOGEL's who married into the family when Bessie (Kovalskie) Shrader married Peter Vogel (Foghel) in England...Mary Shrader, mother of Helen, married David Brown; and so on........
