The Charles H Carlson family of Chicago, Illinois

I am working to reconstruct a family that has had many directions. My great grandparents lived in the Chicago area and the family spread nation wide from there. I have a long way to go and hope to fill in most of the blanks as time goes.
My great grandfather Herman George Carlson immigrated from Sweeden in the 1870's or 1880's. As did my great grandmothers family, Hannah Sophia Backstrom.
