June 14, 1631. He married (1) Digna Dircksdr. She was born Abt. 1541. He married (2) Helleken Gijsbertsdr Abt. 1570. She was born Abt. 1542, and died Aft. June 14, 1631.

Notes for Cornelis Hannaerts Haspels van Wijk:
Born into the Catholic religion, Cornelis was the first in the van Wijk family to make the historic switch from Catholicism to Calvinism. He joined the Dutch Reformed Church of Wijk and served as the Church Warden (Kerkmeester). He was appointed to the office of Mayor (Burgomeester) of Wijk, and was in charge of the village's finances.

Cornelis is one of the few 16th century individuals for whom we have reasonable knowledge of his birth. At least 2 sources indicate that he was probably born in the last half of 1539. In Heusden NA3991, akte 57, dated April 19, 1612, his age is given as 72 years old.

18. Jan Janszn⁸ van Wijk (Jan Segerszn⁷, Seger Janszn⁶, Jan Segersz⁵, Zegher Airt⁴, Aerent Aerndszn³, Aernd Segersson², Seger¹) was born Abt. 1547, and died Abt. 1606. He married Heijltgen Allaertsdr vander Sluijs Abt. 1574, daughter of Allaert Wouterszn vander Sluijs. She was born Abt. 1555, and died Bef. May 20, 1586.
