I can trace my Lanigan roots back to western Ireland of the late 1700's starting with George and Fanny Lanigan who lived near Ballina, County Sligo. (They may have lived across the border in County Mayo.) Most of their family emigrated to North America, my line to Three Rivers, Quebec, in 1832.

The Pollock line goes back to George and Mary Jane Pollock of Macouscin, near Coleraine, County Derry, The entire famly emigrating to Canada in the early 1830's, settling in Mille Isles, Quebec.

The Pollock and Lanigan lines came together a century later.

My Hannaford connection goes back to Canterbury, New Hampshire, of the 1770,s.

I find tracing family history much like puting together a giant jigsaw puzzle. You find a piece, think it fits, then find something else that helps comfirm the fit, takes apart what you hoped was a fit, or creates a even bigger puzzle. Any help in putting together this puzzle would be greatly appreciated.
