I can trace my Lanigan roots back to western Ireland of the late 1700's starting with George and Fanny Lanigan who lived near Ballina, County Sligo. (They may have lived across the border in County Mayo.) Most of their family emigrated to North America, my line to Three Rivers, Quebec, in 1832. |
