This is just a tiny fraction of the Wilson family history. Not even the tip of the iceberg yet, but still searching. Earliest Wilsons in my line were from villages in the North Riding of Yorkshire, such as Eppleby, Forcett, Gainford, and Stanwick St. John, but they were also just a few miles away in the south of County Durham, notably at Heighington and Piercebridge, where the earliest I have found so far was born in the late 18th Century. From there they moved to Durham, Sunderland, London, and Gillingham, Kent, where I was born. I also have a private web-site www.nedinky.com which features more detail on some of the individuals here. Always eager to hear from fellow Wilson researchers. |
