Michelle was abuse by her step-father (Seth) as a young girl. When she attempted to tell her Mom about the abuse, her Mohter refused to believe her, called her a liar, and kicked her out of the house. She attended school with, and was friends, with Scott and Trey. When they heard about her problems, and the fact that her Mom was kicking her out of the house, they asked Suzanne & Phil to take her in "for just a little while." After many dicussions with Michelle' Grandmother (who was disabled with Arthritis), it was agreed that Phil & Suzanne would take her in as their Foster child. She lived in their home until she turned 18.
