The Originators

Searching family history linked to the Mexican-Seminole tribes of Florida. My Great-grandmother was from Shady Grove, Florida and she was born in about 1889. All of the elders are gone so it make searching tough. Still, the search goes on. Her Maiden name was Vogt. Her married name was White.
There are also stories told that put the paternal side of the family as far back to one of America's Great Abolisionist, Frederick Douglass. Looking for all possible links to the great family tree puzzle.
