2. HARRY2 BARNES, SR. (JERRY1) was born March 1850, and died Deceased. He married MAHALIA JOHNSON. She was born April 1851 in McComb, Mississippi, and died Deceased.

Harry Barnes, Sr. was born March 1850 in Pike County, Mississippi. He is the son of Jerry Barnes and Louisa. Around 1871 Harry Barnes, Sr met and married Mahalia Johnson. Mahalia Johnson was born April 1851in Mississippi. In Harry Barnes, Sr and Mahalia Johnson union they had fifteen children: Ned, Henry, Jerry, John, Samuel, Louise, Jessie, Leslie, Angeline, Elijah, Harry Jr, Ollie, Joseph, Benjamin and Mary. In the 1880 census Becky Lee was living with them, she was their housekeeper, she was sixty-eight years old. Mahalia Barnes died sometime in 1920. Harry Barnes, Sr met and married Lottie Simmons on October 24, 1921. When the marriage to Lottie Barnes ended, Harry Barnes, Sr met and married Minvera James Travis July 02, 1933.
No children were born in either marriage. We were told Harry Barnes, Sr was killed in a storm that came through the Pike County, Mississippi area in 1933. We were not able to locate a death certificate for Harry Barnes, Sr to find out the exact date that he died. Harry Barnes, Sr is buried in the Barnes Cemetery in Magnolia, Mississippi.

Notes for MAHALIA JOHNSON:
Mahalia Johnson was born April 1951 in Mississippi. Her parent's were born in North Carolina. The Mahalia Johnson I found in the 1870 census was in Marion County (Columbia) Mississippi. She was ninteen years old and she was listed in the household with John Johnson, Sr and his wife Axy (maiden name unknown). Her sisters and brother are: Lalona, Adeline and John, Jr. I cannot verfiy if these are her siblings, because there was no death certificate on file for her.

3. PRECILLA2 BARNES (JERRY1) was born March 1859 in Magnolia, Mississippi, and died September 17, 1924 in Magnolia, Mississippi. She married NED MAGEE,SR., son of ZEDEKIAH MAGEE and RACHAL??. He was born February 1849 in Magnolia, Mississippi, and died November 26, 1948 in Magnolia, Mississippi.

Notes for PRECILLA BARNES:
Precilla Barnes was born March 1859 in Pike County, Mississippi. She is the daughter of Jerry Barnes and Louisa. Precilla Barnes met and married Ned Magee about 1874. He is the son of Zedekiah Magee and Rachal. Ned Magee was born February 1849. In Ned Magee and Precilla Barnes Magee union they had nine children: James, Mary, Martha, Louella, Sam, Ed, Mamie, Willie and Rachal. Precilla Magee was a midwife in the Magnolia and Mccomb, Mississippi area. She delivered just about all her grandchildren and some of her relatives. To this day one of her granddaughter has her medical bag that she carried with her. Precilla Barnes Magee died September 17, 1924. Ned Magee died November 26, 1948. He was buried November 30, 1948 in Rose Hill cemetery in Magnolia, Mississippi. Ned Magee father Zedekiah Magee was found dead January 18, 1873 in Magnolia, Mississippi.
