I started out reseaching the Treutelaars and Dehmlows. I haven't been able to find any information on where each of them originated from. Joziah Treutelaar came from the Zeeland in teh Netherlands. Louis Dehmlow came ove from Germany and I can't find even the ships logs to confirm where he came in other than it looks like it might have been Waukegan, Illinois. While I was doing research on my family I started on my husbands family. Being that both sides came from Alabama and they were not a very letigious society. I cannot go any farther back than Frank R. Poole or Charlie E. Richardson both from Lauderdale county,Alabama. I would appreciate any help i could get they wre both born around 1880-1890. I became mesmorized by the finding of my family, that I started on my brother-in-law's family. The Bassett family goes all the way back to the Fortune which landed in Plymouth, Ma in 1620. I was able to go to the library there and trace the family line to Iowa. I also traced the family of Clearwater. from North Carolina to Ohio, Illinois and Iowa. I hope some of this information can help some others in their quest. |
