| I am researching the James Beegan family. James lived and died (about 1948) in Pennsylvania. He married Mary Agnes O'Brien about 1916. They had a daughter, Dorothy Theresa Beegan, who was my mother. She was born July 5, 1917 in Scranton, PA. In addition, I am researching the family of Steven Olshefski, also of Pennsylvania. The following information may be difficult reading for relatives of the Olshefski family because they may not be aware of it. I hope they will forgive me, but I need to know: Sometime around May of 1941, Steven Olshefski and Dorothy T. Beegan became intimate and on February 21, 1942, I was born of these two young adults. For reasons known only to them, they never married. I was later adopted by Dorothy Beegan and Gerard J. Poole when they married in January of 1943. Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. |
