The D'Arcangelo/Poole Home Page

I am currently researching both my family and my husband's family.
On my side of the family, the primary surnames are D'ARCANGELO and VARALLO. My paternal grandfather, Venturino D'ARCANGELO came to America in 1920/21. I am just beginning to learn how to go back into records from Chieti, Italy, in the Abruzzi region. My maternal grandfather, Pascale VARALLO was born in 1897 in Philadelphia, PA and died in July 1965. Since I never knew him personally, I know very little about him or his family.

On my husband Brian's side of the family, the primary surnames are POOLE and BEARS. I have gotten quite far on the POOLE line (for me) and am stuck with William W. POOL, born abt 1767 in Holland. Interestingly, family legend had it that the Poole side is from the Dorset coast of Englad, but so far I have not been able to put them there.

On Brian's maternal side, I am researching the surname BEARS. Other family members have recently sent me information linking his family to Austin BEARCE/BEARSE in Barnstable, MA. I haven't pursed this line much yet.
