The Jerry Mangrum Family Home Page

I am researching the the Mangrum And Coleman side of my family. I am also reasearching my wife's family Cannon, White, Minor,Middleton and Turner.

Jerry Mangrum was born in Granville County, North Carolina about 1843, he was married to Elizabeth Keath around 1862, no record of any children. He later married Betty Bailey around 1886, they had 11 children. Due the handwriting of the on the Census some of the names might be incorrect: Cambriss, born in North Carolina with the others born after moving to Arkansas. Birtha, Ulysiss (my grandfather), Nerous, Dan & Van, Isaiah Bell, Viola and Tilda. Sometime in in the late 1800's or early 1900 he and his brother Harvey migrated to Arkansas where they changed the spelling of their last name from Mangum to Mangrum.

My Great Grandfather George Washington Coleman was born in Mississippi around 1870, He married Willie Augusta Stennis in 1897, the migrated Lincoln County, Arkansas in the 1800's. To this union 8 childern were born: Zelora (my grandmother), George, Idella, Sally,Zanola, Ora B., Nels and Willie B. In 1921, he married Daisy Welch to this union 4 childern were born: Cawance, Azoe, Alza Lee and Laurie.
