Updated September 6, 2000I am researching the Beard Family from Cumberland County, North Carolina.Daniel Beard was born in Scotland in 1732 and immigrated to North Carolina about 1780 settling in the Cumberland County, North Carolina area. He had a son Neill, possibly another son James who went into Virginia and possibly a daughter Catherine who may have married a Dempsey Averitt. There are still many branches of the tree that I have not completed. I know there are still Beards living in the Cumberland County area. Would love to hear from anyone that might can make a connection. |
