Find Family
For several years I have read and collected family history information that my family has done. Now I am starting my own research. I hope to be able to find information that we do not have. I am also excited about doing my husbands line. We have been married for almost 10 years, but I have never done any research on his family.

Most women have to change their last name when they marry. I did not. My maiden name is Porter, and my married name is Porter. I am interested in finding out where our lines will cross. I do know that it is not within the last 100 years. My grandfather, Ferman Bee Porter grew up in Pickens County, Alabama. Scott's grandfather Amon Dewitt(PeeWee) Porter, grew up in Lamar County, Alabama. They both were very outgoing, very good talkers, and knew everyone, but didn't know each other.
