I am researching the Jake Porter Family of Texas. Jake, African American, was born in 1861 either in TX or LA. He was married four times Delia Irwin, Celia Ivie, both were white and Julie Ann Thomas and Rhoda Hervey. I am also searching for information on Dicie Hardman, Jake's grandmother. She is located in a 1910 U. S. Federal Census. It states that she was born in North Carolina in 1802 and died in Texas. I am also seeking information for Delia Irwin and Celia Ivie, Jake's first and second wife. I would be very appreciative of any information provided. Thanks. |
