DESCENDANTS OF JOHN WRYTA (WRIGHT)Updated July 7, 2005 |
During the past 30 years, I have researched my ancestry, taking me out through many different branches of my father's family tree. I have recorded over 45,000 individuals, but only 2,000 were allowed on my web page, so I decided to include the descendants of John Wryta/Wright of Kelvedon, co. Essex, England. In addition, I included the first 5 generations of my father's paternal lines with their siblings and wives, dates ranging only from 1781-1968. Included are the family names of PORTER, CODDINGTON, RUMSEY, GRAY, SHADDUCK, SARGEANT/SARGENT, WRIGHT, LUCE, WILCOX, BROWN, DOUD, HOLBROOK, LOOMIS, UPHAM, ST. JOHN, ALLEN, HILLS, WOODWARD, PINEO/PINNEAU, BARLOW and PHELPS, having found several connections with the royalty of England and Europe. Related noted individuals include the Wright Bros., Richard M. Nixon, John Howland & Priscilla Mullins (passengers on the Mayflower), William the Conqueror, Charlemagne and Donald Breac (Donald "the Bruce"). There is a great amount of enjoyable reading, and much valuable research, centered around the area of Shunk, Sullivan Co., PA, but branches out to the areas of Mainesburg, Tioga Co., PA, Canton, Bradford Co., PA, Elmira, Chemung Co., NY and Middleburgh, Schoharie Co., NY. The states of Connecticut and Massachusetts were focal points for the research of the early years of these families' record in the United States. Little research has been done by me pertaining to the English families, but some volumes have been studied extensively to pinpoint the correct family line. Anyone that is interested in my research is free to contact me for further info. |
