I am researching the James Peebles & Unknown family from Pittenween Co.,of Fife Scotland. His son James Peebles Jr. married Christian Turpie I believe they were both also from Pittenween Co.,of Fife Scotland. Children of James and Christian were Andrew Turpie,Catherine, Christiana, Edward, Tom. Andrew Turpie came to the U.S. in 1863. He married Ellen Pearson in 1868 and they had: Milo Burdett "Dick" , Thomas Wellington "Will", Andrew James "Andy",Hugh Sipes, Mary Jane Catherine "Kate", Cristene Ellen "Nellie", Georgetta "George",William Charles "Big Charlie", Rachel Ann Florance, and Robert Harrison "Bob" Peebles
In addition, I'm researching both Ancestors and Descendants of
James Emery "Bud" Smith & Martha Dunn (Miss-AR), The Smith family came from Chewalla, Mississippi to Augusta Arkansas around 1870. He was born in Chewalla, Mississippi in 1866.
