The following information was obtained from the certificate: T. P. Johnson performed the ceremony; S. B. Bentley and P. B. Bentley were the witnesses; The ceremony took place at the home of J. Q. Bentley in Letcher County, Kentucky. J. Q. Bentley is Martha's father, Quiller Bentley according to Jackie Mossburg (daughter of Monroe). J. Q. Bentley's home stood in Neon Junction at the present site of the Food World IGA grocery store according to Hedy Anne Potter (daughter of Henry). DBP 5/29/03

Back were the witnesses; Henry was a 30 year old widower living in Fleming, Kentucky and his occupation was farming; Henry was born in Deane, Kentucky to Andrew Quillen and Susan Quillen; Leansy was 17 years old at the time of the ceremony; she was born in Eolia, Kentucky to George Caudill and Nannie Belle Caudill; Leansy's residence is Fleming, Kentucky and her occupation was housework. Census as being 31 years old and married to 18 year old Leansy Caudill (Leansy's name is spelled Leanzy in the census); The following children are listed in the census: Monroe - 9yo, Daniel - 7yo, and Nannie - 8 months old; One lodger by the name of Joseph (can't make out Joseph's last name - might be Bathen) is listed as living with Henry and Leansy; Joseph is listed as 28 years old.
