May 24, 1750 he sold for 93 pounds, to his brother Ebenezer, then living in Danvers, his house, barn and 17 acres land and swamp in Wenham. Bounded on Samuel Porter, David Batchelder, running to the edge of Cedar Pond and Eneb'r Fiske's land.

YLER PORTER:
He was educated a physician but for some reason never practised his profession. he was a great man of great mental vigor and much energy of character; was a civil magistrate and for many years was elected to all the civil positions within the gift of his townsmen. No man acted a more prominent part in the Revolutionary history of the town. He was moderator of town meetings 1792, 1795-1797, 1799, 1803-1804.

He married Nov. 9, 1760, Dorcas Emerson of Topsfield. They had four children.

he was also a man endowed with energetic powers and force of character. He served through the entire period of the Revolutionary War and rose to rank of Major. He was the first Representative chosen by the town after the Revolution and was re-elected in 1793. soon after this he removed to upper Beverly where he spent the remainder of his days. Inventory of his estate $4952.91. He married Mary Jones of Beverly, they had one child.
