She was born April 21, 1868 in Salem, Essex County, Massachsetts, USA31, and died September 7, 1956 in Beverly, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA32. He married (2) ISABELL HAMILTON.

Samuel was born in a covered wagon.

Lot 430A is located in Harmony Grove Cemetry, Salem, Essex County, Ma., rear of Gentian Path. Lot is in the name of Samuel H. Porter.
Died of a cerebral hemorrhage.

Estranged granddaughter Jane Porter Potter, says she remembers being told his death was caused from a gun shot wound, or some other "unnatural" occurence. Although she is not positive this is true.

Oral History: Samuel, Ralph's father left the family. Ralph and Florence were raised by their Aunt Lizzie. Their mother worked and sent money home to Lizzie for the children's care. Samuel reintroduced himself to Ralph after Ralph was a grown man and President of the Merchant's Bank in Salem.
