Obit: Frances Aschenbrenner, age 94, of N54143 County Road G, Tilleda, died at her home on Wednesday, June 12, 1996 She was born on Jan 30, 1902, in the Town of Pella, the daughter of the late John and Barbara (Brunner) Kort. She was married on June 9, 1926 at Shawano, to Joe P. Aschenbrenner, he preceded her in death on Feb 24, 1976. She and her husband farmed in the Town of Seneca where she has lived for the past 70 years. A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leopolis and the S. Mary's Altar Society. She is survived by: four daughters, Delores Bogda, Pickerel, Germaine Tischauser, Marion, Jean (Carl) Thiel, Appleton, Sharon (Marvin) Herrmann, Shawano; one son, Robert, Leopolis; a son-in-law Ralph Schmeisser, Shawano; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; three brothers, John (Norma) Kort, Mission Texas, Roman (Rose) Kort, River Forest, IL, Vincent Kort, Shawano; four sisters, Regina Schneder, Coleman, Gertrude (Clarence) Wittlinger, Green Bay, Cathryn Kort, Green Bay, Margaret (Orville) Kressin, Shawano. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Arlene Schmeisser, six brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15, at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leopolis, with the Rev. Harry Hafeman officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Swedberg Funeral Home, Gresham on Friday from 4 until 9pm and on Saturday from 9 to 10am at the funeral home. There will be a parish wake service on Friday evening at 8pm.
