Jay Hill
Mr.
Scott Jay Hill, 25, of Charles City, Iowa, formerly of Mason City, Iowa, died
Monday, Sept. 15, 1997 at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.
Funeral
services will be held Thursday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. at the Evangelical Free
Church, Clear Lake, with Pastor Randy Vaage officiating. Interment will be in
Grant Township Cemetery, RR Fertile, Iowa. Visitation will be held today
(Wednesday), Sept. 17, from 3-8 p.m. at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel,
Clear Lake, and one hour prior to services at the church. The family suggests
memorials to the Comprehensive Systems or Hospice of North Iowa.
Scott
was born Sept. 25, 1971 in Mason City, the son of George A. and Merridy
(Zirbel) Hill. He attended the Iowa Braille and Sight Savings School, Vinton,
Iowa, until the age of 11. He then moved to Comprehensive Systems in Charles
City, Iowa, where he has lived ever since. He worked at the comprehensive work
center.
Scott
loved music, whistling, camping, attending ball games, and going for walks.
He is
survived by his mother, Merridy Hill, Mason City; two sisters, Linda Clausen
and her husband, Michael, Mason City, and Gloria Hill, Waterloo, Iowa; one
brother, Randy Hill, Charlotte, N.C.; two nephews, Brent Clausen and his wife,
Shelly, Sheffield, Iowa, and Joshua Clausen, Mason City; one niece, Michaelle
Bahnsen and her husband, Brian, Des Moines, Iowa; one great-niece, Alyson
Clausen and two great nephews, Hunter Clausen and Joseph Bahnsen; aunts and
uncles.
He was
preceded in death by his father on Dec. 24, 1995.
