Marshall W. Bausell, 90, the last surviving son of Civil War veteran James Wesley Bausell, died at his Raymondville, TX home last Friday following a brief illness. Mr. Bausell was born in Russell County April 9, 1872 and had moved west and into Texas during his early manhood. His mother, the late Martha Daughtery Bausell was the daughter of Ekzekiel Daughtery who settled in about 1842 in the Daughtery's Cave area north of Lebanon. Up until his death, Mr. Bausell had enjoyed fairly good health for a man of his advanced years. In addition to his immediate family, Mr. Bausell is survived by one sister the last of nine children, Mrs. George W. Reece of Las Vegas, New Mexico. He was a brother of the late Henry F. Bausell, who died in June of 1961 at the age of 83. Funeral services were conducted for the deceased this past Sunday at Raymondville. Burial was in that city. - Lebanon News
