James Taylor Bausell (son of James Wesley Bausell and Martha Elizabeth Daughtery) was born 02 Feb 1889 in Dickensonville, Russell County, VA, and died 14 Dec 1948 in Russell County, VA. He married Eliza Jane Rhea on 14 Jul 1918 in Russell County, VA.
Notes for James Taylor Bausell: Youngest son of James Wesley & Martha - he was a Navy veteran and worked in the family newspaper office and printed signs. JT Bausell served in the U.S. Navy and was injured when a ship's engine malfunctioned and was burned with steam. He was a man of small stature with black hair and eyes; he had a keen sense of humor and delighted in telling stories . . . and could keep a straight face until the "punch line". Then, he too would join in the laughter. Aman of Many interests: including sports, music he played the bugle and encouraged a and for Lebanon school. He took an active part in political and civic affairs, was a charter membe of the American legion Post in Lebanon and a staunch Methodist. He also worked in the printing business with his father, brothers and son at The Lebanon News and the Honaker Herald. he loved the children of the community and wanted nothing but the best for all of them. He died of cancer shortly after revovation of the old homeplace on East Main Street, Lot No, 7 on the original plot map of Lebanon layed out June 29, 1816. The Bausell family was the second owner of lot No. 7, and for at least 3 generations occupied this lot.
