1. LOXLEY⁶ RICKARDS (JOSEPH⁵, JOESPH⁴ RICKARD, PHILIP³ RICKARDS, JOHN², JOHN¹) was born 1809 in Sussix Del, and died April 29, 1889 in Muncie In. He married NANCY BOSMAN March 20, 1834 in Sussix, Del, daughter of PHILIP BOSMAN and TANSEY SPENCE. She was born August 09, 1812 in Sussix Del, and died December 07, 1899 in Muncie In.

Notes for LOXLEY RICKARDS:
Loxley A. Rickard entered one hundred and sixty acres of governement land in Viles Township, Delaware County, Indiana, Aug 27, 1836, being the northeast quarter of section 22, township 22 north, Range 11 east, paying for same $1.25 per acre. At this time this was unbroken forest. The first improvement was a small round log cabin, which sheltered the family for the first few years of their pioneer life. Leaving their families here. Richard Higman, Loxley A. Rickard and Daniel Boasman started out to the northeast of Muncie to select tracts of land, that was to be their future homes.
