BOOK 24, page 460: Sept. 9, 1817, Morgan McMahan--no wife signs-- lets Lamb Taylor (both of Rowan Co., N.C.) have 195 acres chiefly on the west side of Cedar Creek next to Benjamin Poyner, John Ellis & John Stephenson. BOOK 24, page 544: Jan. 27, 1818, Frederick Hendricks or Hendrickson of Surry Co., N.C., --no wife signs-- lets Maxey Taylor of Rowan Co., N.C., have 134 1/4 acres on Buffalo Creek next 'Abraham Hendricks, John Call & Robert--- for $550.00, wit: Ren Poyner (?) & Benjamin Taylor & proved by the latter May 1818· BOOK 30, page 1058: Jan. 16, 1830, Samuel Taylor of Rowan Co., N.C. appoints Samuel Poyner of the same county, as his attorney to divide the estate of Edward Taylor deceased. The land is an undivided tract now in the possession of Samuel Taylor a surviving brother of William and Edward Taylor, and is in Currituck Co., N.C., known as the North River tract, transferred to Lamb Taylor Jr. by deed.
