1. BENJAMIN¹ POYNER was born Abt. 1796, and died Unknown in Indiana ?. He married (1) MARY ?. She was born Abt. 1803 in North Carolina, and died Bet. 1851 - 1853. He married (2) SARAH JUSTICE 1853 in Putnam Co., Indiana. She died Unknown.

Notes for BENJAMIN POYNER:
Benjamin appears on the 1830 Census for Surry County North Carolina. The census lists a male child under the age of five and a female child under the age of five. I believe these children to be Silas & Rebecca. Silas may have been born in Surry County.
Silas next appears on the 1840 & 1850 Census' for Putnam County Indiana. By 1850 Silas is living next door at the home of Andrew Sigler & Rebecca is still living at home, although it appears she had gotten married prior to 1850. Six more children are born between the 1830's & 1850.
I assume Mary passes away after 1850 and before 1853, because Benjamin marries Sarah Justice in 1853. The Justice family was living adjacent to Benjamin on the 1850 Census.

I can't find a record of Benjamin after 1853.
