WILLIAM POYNER

ROHWER -- William Sylvester Poyner, 60, of Rohwer, died Sunday at McGehee-Desha County Hospital at McGehee.

He was born Dec. 1, 1943, at McArthur, a son of Bertie Marie Snow and the late Sylvester Poyner.

He was a 32nd-Degree Mason and a self-employed farmer.

Other survivors include his wife, Deloris Poyner; two daughters, Melissa McCallie of Manila and Stephanie Morgan of Monticello; two brothers, Joedd Poyner of Rohwer and Johnny Poyner of McGehee; five sisters, Mary Lee Evans of Warren, Barbara Macklin of Rohwer and Juanita Baughman, Frances Lampkin and Lavana Gustafson, all of McGehee.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Griffin Funeral Service at McGehee with Bob Courtney officiating. Burial will be in McArthur Cemetery.
