Hiram was the eldest son of Edwin and Celia Ann Franklin Honeycutt. He was born about 1848 in Benton County, Missouri. On September 18, 1873, he married Enilia Jonson (possibly Johnson). His sister Louisia, and his brother, John were their witnesses.
By the time the census was taken in 1880, he was living alone with his children, William, age 5-born about 1874 , Bettie age 4-born about 1876, and Ella age 1. No records have been found of Bettie and Ella after this. At this time, they were listed as the children of Hiram but were in the home of Hanah Ostermann. It is assumed that Emilia had died.
By 1890, Hiram had married Josephine Henderson, the daughter of Eli and Sarah Woods Henderson. They had married in Taney County, Missouri. According to family records their daughter Sarah Bell's birthday was October 20, 1886. So they must have married in the mid 1880's.
The 1910 census for Van Buren County in Arkansas, show Hiram and Josephine living there with seven of their children, Ben, John Riley, Bama, Sarah, Louis, George and Floyd. At this time the records show Hiram as 63 y/o and Josephine as 44 y/o. A year later, on April 22, 1911, their last child was born, Laura Lucille Elizabeth, known to us as "Aunt Lizzie".
According to Aunt Lizzie, Hiram and Josie had 16 children between them. Some died at birth or at a very young age.
About 1913, Hiram had died and is buried in the Halfmoon Cemetery in Van Buren County, AR. By 1915, Josephine had married Frank Gloden on March 5.
