I am researching the following ancestors (please see names below) who had lived in Michigan in the upper-lower.

ANSORGE/COOK/RIEGER family:
Searching for information on Anna ANSORGE and her son, Hugh/Hugo Joseph KROCK/COOK, who settled in northern Michigan area about 1892 after arriving from (Vienna?) Austria. It's possible Anna ANSORGE might have moved to the Grand Rapids area or Akron, Ohio in the early 1900's. Listed in the Death Notice of Sept. 7, 1944, for Hugh/Hugo Joseph KROCK/COOK, it is stated that Hugh/Hugo had a half-brother, Edward RIEGER of Akron, Ohio.

HILBERT family:
Researching John HILBERT and Ellen (?) who had six or more children. Supposedly, John and Ellen HILBERT divided the children. One son, James George HILBERT, married Florence Ida ELDRIDGE in Elkhart, Indiana. One daughter, Irene HILBERT married George RUHL.

What happened to the other 4+ HILBERT children?
What happened to John HILBERT?
What happened to Ellen HILBERT?

Family names being researched:
DRAPER, ELDRIDGE, HILBERT, the GIDEON WALKER family, James WILSON family, Thomas HOREN and wife (?) VALLEY, FILLMORE, BESSE/BESSEY. JOSEPH KOCH/COOK and Anna ANSORGE (born about 1860's)from Vienna, Austria, Hugh/Hugo Joseph KOCH/COOK (born 1884) in Vienna and moved to Michigan region approximately 1892.

CIVIL WAR VETERANS:
I have a list of CIVIL WAR VETERANS from the Grand Traverse County, MI area (that's in the Northern Lower Peninsula of MI). Email me a message, (with the Subject: Civil War Veterans) and I will look for your ancestor in the list on file. Most have a full name, the company, regiment, birth/death dates, and oftentimes there is additional information such as where they lived, place of enlistment, wife's maiden name, etc.).
