David Alexander Skeen born 1824 died 1922 is the son of Jonathan Skeen born 1765, please note I do not use the name Rees as Jonathan middle name nor do I use a date of birth for his father. I have seen the name Jonathan Alexander Skeen born 1730 for Jonathan born 1765 father, there is no known proof of the middle name or the birth date. I have no ideal where other researchers have gotten the name Alexander and the birth date 1730 from and the middle name Rees for Jonathan born 1765 from. The earliest known record of Jonathan b1765 father Jonathan is the 1754 marriage record in Christ Church in Philadephia,PA when he married Susannah Rees, Skeen is spelled Sheen on these records. I have seen other Sheen marriages in the church records in the same time period. There is no known records of who the father of Jonathan who married Susannah Rees is. Please dont take everything for fact because someone else has it on the Internet. At this time I can only prove back to Jonathan Skeen b1765 and Sarah Monk. Since I have pictures of all of David's sons I know the man is not any of them. Knowing that Jonathan was older than Sarah this couple would match being them. I had someone who deals in old clothing look at the photo, they are sure that the clothes was from the pre Civil War time period. I know by the 1850 Russell County,VA census that Jonathan and Sarah were still alive. There is no known death dates for Jonathan and Sarah.
