BASHAW Funeral services for Edwin P. Bashaw, 56, of Hartley Hill road, Saxtons River, were held last Sunday afternoon, at 2 p.m. at the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home. Rev. Hanford Bradstreet, minister of the Assembly of God Tabernacle, officiated. Burial was in the Charlestown, N.H., Cemetery. Mr. Bashaw died Thursday evening, February 25 at Rockingham Memorial hospital. The bearers were Norman Benware, jr., Wilfred Bashaw, jr., of Saxtons River, Raymond Jondro of Cambridgeport and Hermon Walker of Newport. He was born in Charlestown, N.H., on December 26, 1903, a son of John and Ida (Pecor) Bashaw. A board sawyer by trade, he had recently been employed for the past year and a half at Streeter's Machine Shop in Hinsdale, N.H. Previously, he worked in Londonderry and other surrounding towns. Surviving him is his wife, the former Eva Knight, whom he married on June 20, 1927 at North Westminster. He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Inez Benware of Brattleboro and Mrs. Patricia Benware of Oscoda, Mich., and three sons, Herbert J. of Saxtons River, Burton C. and Edwin L., living at home; also four brothers, Gordon H. and Ralph of Charlestown, N.H., Albert of Hinsdale, and Melvin of Ashuelot, N.H.; one sister, Mrs. Ida Kinney of Charlestown, and 11 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
