Notes for Caroline Sellards:
Caroline Sellards is not listed as a child of Susannah Sullivan and John W. Sellards in Appalachia Crossroads or other publications on the Sellards family. She is not listed in her father's will but neither are the children of his first marriage. I presume that this was because she was an adult and/or already married to Jacob Back at the time of her father's death and the four children listed in the will are all minors at the time of his death. In addition, per family records, this family eventually migrated to Minnesota so at the time Clayton Cox was gathering information for Appalachia Crossroads, Caroline's descendants would no longer have been in the area. Her half sister Leander is also noted as marrying a Jacob Back/Beck/Black and it is unknown if it is the same family.
