Efforts to locate Edna Arnhart's family in the Tennessee Soundex, 1900 and 1910, were not suc cessful, using Code No.A-656. They may be listed under I-656 or elsewhere. I did find Edna' s sister, Ivy, in the 1900 Soundex, Tennessee #T1072.7, Vol.37,E.D.68,Sht.10,Line 92, livin g with a married sister, Sarah Carnes, age 22, and her husband, Stewart Carnes (27); Luceil ( 1); Jane (?) b.5/1900, at 816 Marion St., Knoxville, Knox Co., TN: Ivy Arnhart b.Apr 1885 T N TN TN

In 1880 TN Soundex, Vol.21,E.D.146,Sht.2,Line 44, at Decatur, Meigs Co., found ARNHART, G. A . (28) b. NC; Margaret E. (24) b. TN; Charles R. (4); Celestine V. (2); Sarah C. (10/12), al l b. TN. This is clearly Edna's sister, Sarah, and her parents. I did not ever remember any thing about Sarah, but when I lived with my father after his marriage to Edna, I personally k new Edna's sister, Ivy, and another sister, Clare, and remember visiting Edna's family in t he Knoxville area sometime around 1940 or 1941.

My mother's tombstone was placed by her sister and brother, Mrs. C. R. Ireland and Mr. A. Hou ston Camp. I don't know whether any others were participants. The stone carries only her ma iden name and does not indicate her married name, Watkins. She always spelled her name "Mae ," but the stone spells it "May." The stone reads:

Eliza May CAMP
July 28, 1899
April 29, 1936

Also placed nearby was a small stone marker for my sister, Julia Frances WATKINS, with the in scription "BABY." It does not show her name, Frances.
