Thank you for visiting my home page and may the Lord bless you as you climb your family tree!

In my research I have found many names of many people. I have found out their names, birth dates and marriage dates, their children's names and sometimes I find some interesting information about their lives. One thing they all share in common is that they are dead now and cannot change their eternal destiny. I wonder if they knew Jesus like I do. I wonder if they will go to Heaven when Jesus returns in the clouds with angels at His second coming (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Friends, tracing our family tree is a fun pursuit, but it does not change anything for these dead people (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6). Please make provision for your eternal future with God while there is still time. He loves you so very much. Please leave a better legacy than just names and dates on a tombstone; we only have one chance on this earth, so please live a changed life that knows Jesus Christ, the One who died for you.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). "The goodness of God leads you to repentance" (Romans 2:4). "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me" (Revelation 3:20).

I am currently researching the following family names in my tree: surnames on my dad's side are MURPHY, KENNEDY, PICKERING, THRAPP, TOBIAS, SCHOLL, DONHAM, MCINTYRE, and SPILLER; and the surnames on my mother's side are MULLIKIN, ATCHEY (aka AKEY aka ACHIE aka ETHIER), KOENIG, HARTLIEB, BEARD, KILLEN, TANGER, TRAMP, and SMITH.

* MURPHY- The earliest known ancestor of mine, William Murphy, fought in the American Revolution under General George Washington. His descendants are traced here.

* MULLIKIN- Much is known about this family that dates back to the 1600's when Patrick Mullikin received grants from the King of England to come to Maryland.

* ATCHEY aka AKEY or ACHIE or ETHIER- This family is of French origins having moved from France to Quebec, Canada. When their home burned, the family moved from Canada to Wisconsin in 1852. In order to "Americanize" the name, the surname was changed from ETHIER to ACHIE. However, people mispronounced the name, so it was changed again to ATCHEY and to AKEY.

* KENNEDY- This family is from Pennsylvania and moved to Iowa in 1854 (were early pioneers) and then to Oklahoma (and were also early pioneers, arriving in Oklahoma before statehood). Most of the descendants of Fay Franklin and Grace Ann (Tobias) Kennedy still live in Oklahoma and for many years had yearly family reunions.

*TOBIAS- This family came from Wales and settled in Jennings County, Indiana and then my branch came to Oklahoma in the very first Land Run of 1889 and homesteaded in Canadian County, Oklahoma Territory.

* PICKERING- Muriel Rada Pickering was born in Butler Co., Nebraska in 1883 to Asbury Shell Pickering (son of Levi and Susannah Spillers Pickering) and Lillie Lucy Thrapp (daughter of Dr. Simeon T.W. and Margarette Reed Thrapp).

* MCINTYRE- Born in Ireland, Daniel McIntyre married Mary Jones in 1838 and settled in Scioto Co., Ohio where they had 2 known daughters, Jennie and Mary Katherine. Jennie first married a man by the last name of Elden before marrying
