Thomas was granted land for transporting persons to the colonies 1633 and later gave title to Gersham Buck, who later gave it to Peleg Buck. Early records show 1595-1640 Crumps named were Thomas, William, John, Stephen, Robert and Richard. Thomas came from Birchington County, Kent, England to Virginia about 1623. He was in Virginia by 1654. He represented James City in the house of Burgesses 1631-32 and assemblies of 1632-33.
