| I am researching my husbands maternal line, the Edmunds family. We have been very successful in tracing back to 1701 when a William Edmunds was born and lived in Wappenham, Northamptonshire,England. Families that they married into include the names Aris, Fletcher,Bull, and Sheppard. Several generations later my husbands great grandfather( Henry Edmunds) was born in Halifax Yorkshire. He had the distinction of being the man who introduced Mr Rolls to Mr Royce (of Rolls Royce cars) and was an engineer and entrepreneur. He was involved with Thomas Edison and brought the phonograph to England.His second wife was Ellen Murray Howard from R.I. and he died in 1927. She returned to America where she died I hope to contact distant family in the US and publish the family tree on the Web |
